NNIT offer our customers unsurpassed quality, security and stability in our handling of their business critical data and systems. And that’s what we intend to do in the future also. Our current investment in a state of the art data center is a clear signal to customers that NNIT’s growth will never jeopardise our commitment to the highest quality standards and stable operations. The new facility is expected to go into operation at the end of 2010.
The data center is designed specifically to support the stringent compliance demands from customers in the pharmaceutical sector (GxP) and financial sector. It will also cater for those customers who demand that all data are stored and handled in Denmark.
Huge project on time
The scale and complexity of the data center bears witness of just how massive this investment is – and the positive impact it will have on the sustained growth of NNIT as well as our customers. And right now the data center team can boast no delays whatsoever.
More than 30 dedicated NNIT’ers are working to m
ake the most modern data center in Denmark ready to receive our customers’ data and systems. So far the 2000 square meter building has been erected, while the interior is being fitted with fibre connections, electrical and cooling infrastructure, fire protection and advanced physical security systems, including biometric techonology. Redundant power supply, cooling and IT infrastructure guarantee uninterrupted operations.
Next step will be moving data from existing NNIT data centers to the new facility. We expect to begin migration early in 2011 and continue the process for about one year with unrelenting focus on stable operations and zero data loss. As always the goal is happy customers who do not have to worry about their data or the stability of their systems.
50 years uninterrupted and green operation
The data center is designed to be in uninterrupted operation for 50 years. Even if central parts of the cooling systems or electrical infrastructure must be replaced, redundant systems make it possible to do it without shutting down.
Saving energy is important to NNIT – because it is good business and because it makes good sense. NNIT’s new data center will be among the very best also when it comes to energy efficiency and green IT (PUE = 1.3).
