In September a dozen new NNIT’ers began work in different departments around NNIT as part of the very successful NNIT Graduate Programme. They are the fifth generation of graduates to embark on an 18 month journey passing through three departments in NNIT.
NNIT Graduate programme has been a constant success whether the surrounding labour market has been red hot or more calm as in the present situation. The reason why is that both NNIT and the graduates benefit immensely from the programme. Graduates build an unparalleled network and gain broad experience much faster than they could possibly do in a traditional position. NNIT get a new generation of NNIT’ers with broad knowledge of our business, a network that transcends divisions and professional areas and an amazing drive.
Recent graduates do recognize the advantages – and the competition for a place on the team is intense. The end result is a strong team for the benefit of NNIT as well as the graduates, who get great sparring and knowledge sharing from their peers on the team.
Determination takes the place of doubt
The new graduates have begun in their first position and as they settle in, the previous graduate team are continuing their careers in the very different positions they have chosen based on their insight from 18 months at NNIT. Determination has taken the place of any doubts they might have had about what they wanted to do, and managers are eager to get a hold of the new – but experienced – employees.
